Multimedia Art created from 7 layers of recycled fabric, wool and textured gel. Liquified and rough effect of it has been inspired by one of the textures I have discovered in the abandoned psychiatric asylums near Glasgow.

Artist Info
I am a multi-disciplinary textiles design artist whose research led practice celebrates contemporary, sustainable surface design. At the heart of my work is a love of materials, process, textures, layers, colour, quality and craft. My designs are enhanced by their low environmental impact not compromised by it.
Using post-production mill waste, upholstery scraps, recycled papers, trims, threads and second-hand materials, I have developed a sustainable making process that applies embroidery and print techniques to develop surface design that re-imagines waste into new embellished textiles and abstract pieces. Layers of fabrics, paint and scraps, and everything that speaks to me or I can reuse – I called them “Layers of Goodness” are built into my work. I use wood waste to make my frames.
